Established by the pioneering figure of Daniel Swarovski in Austria in 1895, over 129 years Swarovski has defined an international repute for exceptional artistry - crystal cut and polished and jewelry crafted with a precision matching that of precious and rare gems. Supplying crystal to Parisian Haute Couture houses and Hollywood stars from its very foundation, for almost 50 years Swarovski has also created its own jewelry lines, realms of joyful extravagance and endless innovation. Renowned for remarkable clarity and mesmerizing radiance, the savoir-faire of Swarovski Crystal has forged the house’s pre-eminence as Masters of Light, with breathtaking brilliance captured in every meticulously crafted stone. SWAROVSKI - MASTERS OF LIGHT draws visitors from 19th century Austria - where Daniel Swarovski first found inspiration to redefine the creation of crystal - to 21st-century Seoul, and beyond. This exhibition highlights Swarovski’s own deep history and artisanship and its position at a unique meeting-point of technology and glamour. Its magical savoir-faire is framed by the House’s ground-breaking and ongoing collaborations with the greatest names in fashion, cinema, and music - including Louis Vuitton, Versace, Alexander McQueen and Giorgio Armani, and Harry Styles, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian. Across the last two centuries and into the future, SWAROVSKI MASTERS OF LIGHT illuminates the fairytale that realized Daniel Swarovski's dream, of a diamond for every woman.
