From the earliest days of the 20th century, Swarovski has been a vehicle for creative artists - actors, musicians, icons - to project their own star power, their elusive magic.
Since the 1930s and the beginnings of the 'Dream Factories', the name given to the cinematic studios that defined Hollywood's Golden Age, Swarovski has been a vital partner in crafting the magic of the Silver Screen. Meanwhile, on stage, musicians use the luster that characterizes Swarovski’s creations to reflect the spotlight that defines live performance. In their wish to transport audiences - to craft dreams - creatives around the world have turned repeatedly to Swarovski.
Here, an outstanding array of stage and cinema costumes, fashion items and red-carpet ensembles showcase an evolution of expression, the power of physicality – the meaning of iconic. These individuals are more than just famous - they have helped reshape contemporary culture across the globe, their wardrobes an expression of their freedom and personal values. Swarovski is an essential component to communicate their creative attitudes.
